About Us

Our Story

StevensTHON is a student-run organization and year-round philanthropic movement at Stevens Institute of Technology. Through our efforts, we raise money and awareness for the Children's Specialized Hospital, our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. In spring 2024 we will celebrate our efforts with a twelve-hour dance marathon and reveal the total amount of money raised for our hospital that year. Everything we do and everything our organization stands for is because Kids Can't Wait.

StevensTHON is proud to be a part of the Miracle Network Dance Marathon movement that has been taking over campuses across the nation. The Miracle Network Dance Marathon family consists of over 400 schools raising money for their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Since the first-ever CMNH dance marathon in 1991, at the University of Indiana in honor of Ryan White, over $250 million has been raised for kids across North America to ensure that no child or family has to face pediatric illness alone.

In our inaugural year, StevensTHON broke two fundraising records for the most money raised for a first-year CMNH Dance Marathon in New Jersey and for the highest amount fundraised in the first year for the Children's Specialized Hospital. In our second year, StevensTHON won "Best New Dance Marathon" at the Dance Marathon Leadership Conference after raising over $30,000. StevensTHON was the Harvey N. Davis Student Organization of the Year and New Jersey's #1 Fundraising Dance Marathon program in 2020. In 2022, the organization was awarded the Program of the Year for Community Impact by Undergraduate Student Life and the Student Organization Mission Award by the Student Government Association. In 2023 23 won Undergraduate Program of the Year for Service and raised the most money in the history of StevensTHON - over $46,000. We will continue to shatter fundraising goals until there are no longer children in need of care.
